About the Chronoswiss Open Gear Collection
Backdrop
In a bid to add a colourful palette to its collections, the brand launched the Chronoswiss Open Gear collection. A particularly colourful tribute to the very first timepieces created by the brand, the Open Gear collection features distinct timepieces with regulator complications.
Flying Regulator
Inspired by the very first watches which came out of the Maison, the Flying Regulator features vivid colours displayed over a unique configuration of timekeeping. The Flying Regulator OpenGear is about creating more visual depth to the dial along with a small view of the gearwork through the subsidiary seconds dial. The hour hand is moved via some exposed gearwork. You can tell that the time display system is part of a module. Further beautifying the timepiece is the decoration of the dial. Decorated with a guilloche pattern, the Flying Regulator offers the very best of the Maison in one.
Open Gear Resec
Another complex variation of the regulator complication is the Open Gear Resec. The Open Gear Resec is the world’s first regulator watch with a retrograde second hand. Launched in 2019, the Resec has garnered attention for both aesthetics and mechanics. The dial is made with 42 moving parts and provides a three-dimensional way of timekeeping.
