Bremont Broadsword Bronze

History

The military requires something that stands the test of war, time, and technology. This has been the underlying truth for centuries. When the world was fighting a war in the 40s, the British Ministry of Defence decided to build a timepiece for their military personnel. 12 watchmakers were called upon and they were collectively given an unofficial title of the ‘Dirty Dozen’. Bremont decided to file a tribute to these war-ridden timepieces under the Armed Forces collection.

Features

The Bremont Armed Forces collection is a fitting homage to the fighting spirit of the nation that withstood the onslaught of two brutal wars in a short span of time. The watches under the Bremont Armed Forces collection are divided into series such as Broadsword, Arrow, and Argonaut. The Argonaut series features a date window at the 3 o’clock marker. Whereas, the Broadsword series features a small seconds dial at the 6 o’clock marker. The collection is also home to chronographs that are fitted inside the Arrow series. A Few of the watches that stand out from the collection is the Argonaut bronze and Broadsword Bronze. The cases of these watches are constructed with CuSn8 corrosion-resistant bronze. This alloy is specifically used in the naval industry.

Associations

The Bremont Armed Forces collection was created in a collaboration with the British Ministry of Defence (MoD). With this collaboration, the Armed Forces collection is the only collection in the world to officially use the signs, emblems and badges of the British Armed Forces.
