About the Breitling Avenger Collection

The Avenger series, first introduced in the early 2000s, represents Breitling’s dedication to crafting aviation watches tailored to the most extreme conditions. Initially designed for fighter pilots, the collection embodies the brand’s spirit of adventure and resilience. The timepieces are built to withstand high altitudes, rapid pressure changes, and the physical demands of a cockpit environment, making them reliable companions for both professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Design And Iterations

The Avengers collection has evolved over the past two decades but has retained its core aesthetic principles. Recent updates to the collection have introduced modernised designs while maintaining the classic elements that define the series. The collection now offers a variety of options, including chronographs, GMTs, and time-and-date models, each catering to different needs. Whether equipped with a stainless-steel bracelet or a military leather strap, the Avenger watches are designed to be as tough as they are versatile. Throughout its iterations, the Avenger has maintained its bold identity while integrating modern updates. The latest Avenger collection features a range of models totalling 11 references. The chronograph models, in particular, like the Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 and the Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission stand out with their bold dial colours, ranging from blue and black to green and sand.

These timepieces feature a rotating 60-minute bezel and screw-down crowns and are powered by Breitling’s in-house calibre 01 movement, known for its 70-hour power reserve, offering robust reliability in high-performance settings. The exhibition caseback allows a view into the intricate mechanics of the movement, highlighting Breitling's commitment to precision. The Avenger’s design has also seen subtle refinements over the years, with the latest iterations smoothing out some of the more aggressive design features while preserving its distinctive look. The iconic winged 'B' logo has been replaced with a large scripted 'B,' giving the collection a more streamlined and contemporary appearance.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT

Derived from the reliable ETA 2893-2, calibre 32 is a self-winding movement powering GMT models of many Breitling watches, like Colt, Superocean, Navitimer, Chronomat, and more. It offers approximately 42 hours of power reserve and manages hours, minutes, seconds, and date indications. Furthermore, its independently set GMT hand allows for convenient tracking of a second-time zone, enhancing the practicality and versatility of the watch for globetrotters and enthusiasts alike. Embodying Breitling's commitment to precision, the B32 is COSC-certified as a chronometer, ensuring exceptional accuracy. The use of a customised rotor adds a touch of exclusivity to the movement.
