Bell & Ross BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont 42 mm

Since the advent of Bell & Ross, the brand have concentrated their efforts on building tough and rugged pieces of time-measuring instruments for the wrists. The DNA and the heart of the brand lie inside the robustness of their timepieces but it was time that the brand introduced themselves as a more lifestyle-oriented watchmaker. In 2019, the brand launched a collection inspired by the aircraft instrument panels called Urban. This collection is home to various timepieces that strike a balance between the rugged masculinity of a sports watch and the timeless elegance of a dress watch.

Design

The Bell & Ross Urban collection is a perfect example of a brand that have considered the importance of lifestyle. The Urban collection is an addition to the utilitarian brand while retaining the square silhouette and the four screws on the case. What takes the spotlight is the streamlined linked bracelet that is perfectly blended into the case. Later on, the addition of diamonds and the usage of material like gold only elevated their presence in the dress watch category. With functions like chronograph and GMT, the collection holds its sports watch roots deep in the ground.

Features

The exquisitely crafted practical yet aesthetical watches by Bell & Ross hold many forms with an integrated design. Beginning with the simpler version is the BR-05 Auto. The BR-05 Auto is fitted with a date window at three o'clock and the mix of Arabic numerals and index markers adds a nice flavour to the dial. Following the tradition of crafting complicated watches, the BR 05 GMT features a second-time zone marked by a long central hand and the BR 05 Chrono features a detailed chronograph. Shining on the essence of elegance, the BR 05 Diamond is fitted with diamonds on the case and in some timepieces, the diamonds are also on the bracelet. Drawing attention to the brand's avant-garde nature, the BR-X5 features a power reserve indicator on the nine and a date window at the three o'clock marker.
