With the BR-03 Helipad, Bell & Ross looks beyond the cockpit to capture the moment a helicopter approaches its landing zone — turning that scene into a dynamic interpretation of time, without losing the functional clarity the brand's instrument-inspired designs are known for. From its animated dial to its distinctive case architecture, every element reflects Bell & Ross' knack for pairing technical watchmaking with an unmistakable aviation aesthetic.

In place of a traditional three-hand display, the BR-03 Helipad features an animated aerial scene. A rotating disc represents the helipad and marks the hours, while the helicopter fuselage serves as the minute hand. Its continuously rotating blades track the seconds, keeping the dial in constant motion. The yellow landing marker is treated with Super-LumiNova X2, so the helipad stays visible even in low light. It's an unconventional display, but one that keeps the immediate readability you'd expect from Bell & Ross.

Powering this animated display is the automatic BR-CAL.327 calibre, built specifically to drive the watch's unconventional time indication and offering a power reserve of approximately 54 hours. The construction reflects Bell & Ross' broader approach: unconventional design in service of function, not just visual effect. The movement gives the helicopter, landing zone and rotating elements a shared mechanical foundation — working together as a genuinely functional interpretation of time.

The BR-03 Helipad is housed in Bell & Ross' signature 41mm BR-03 case, crafted from micro-blasted black ceramic — lightweight, highly resilient, and true to the watch's technical character. At 10.6mm thick, it holds onto the architectural proportions the BR-03 collection is known for, while staying comfortable for everyday wear. An antireflective sapphire crystal protects the animated display and keeps it easy to read, and 100 metres of water resistance rounds out the watch's practical, aviation-ready credentials.

Legibility stays central to the BR-03 Helipad, even with its unconventional display. The yellow landing marker on the rotating helipad is treated with Super-LumiNova X2, glowing brightly after dark. Beyond enhancing visibility, this luminous detail nods directly to helicopter landing zones and aviation rescue operations. Set against the predominantly black dial, the illuminated yellow marker gives the watch a distinctive visual signature — one that stays true to the functional spirit of the Flight Instruments collection.

The BR-03 Helipad comes with two interchangeable straps, so its aviation-inspired character can be worn in different ways. The vivid yellow rubber strap draws straight from the colour codes of helicopter rescue operations, for a bold, unmistakable look. For something more understated, the black ultra-resilient synthetic fabric strap plays up the watch's technical edge. Both are secured with a micro-blasted steel pin buckle finished in matt black PVD, keeping the whole piece cohesive and unmistakably utilitarian in spirit.
