Anonimo Militare Chrono

Backdrop

Anonimo comes from the city of Renaissance and Dante but it is also known for being at the epicentre of Italian military watches. The watches crafted in Florence were officially under a contract with the Italian Navy and the watchmakers were well-versed in the idea of crafting military-spec diving watches. To celebrate this legacy, the Italian watch manufacturer launched the Anonimo Militare collection.

Features

Made with a single block of metal, the watches inside the Militare collection are a solid representation of the brand’s heritage of creating military watches. The cushion-shaped cases offer better protection to the calibre. Whereas, the patented special protection on the crown offers better diving capabilities. Apart from the protection, the crown is also fitted uniquely at the 12 o’clock marker. Available in two iterations, the Militare features a basic three-hand model and a chronograph variant. The basic iteration features a small second sub-dial at the 3 o’clock marker. The chronograph iteration features a bi-compax layout for the chronograph sub-dials with teethed pushers for controlling the chronograph. Another iteration of the Militare Chrono series is the Chrono DLC, a robust chronograph with a tachymeter on the bezel and a case made with steel & DLC.

The Specials

Filled with a myriad of limited-edition timepieces, the Militare collection features a Camouflage edition with either a khaki or brown guilloche dial. One timepiece that stands out is the Militare Chrono Oxidized Bronze. One of its kind, this Militare features an oxidised case made of bronze. Bronze, when oxidised, discolours itself into green and is considered a mark of its durability.
