Seiko has a long-drawn tradition of crafting timepieces and with the advent of modern manufacturing capabilities, the brand has expanded its horizon to further levels. Inspired by the heritage and prestige it has accumulated over all these years, the Seiko Presage collection is a perfect example of heritage and innovation.
Features
The Seiko Presage was the first watch that featured an enamel dial Seiko which was led by Mitsuru Yokozawa. After the advent of the enamel studded timepieces, the Presage collection expanded into various personas. Divided into five series, the Craftsmanship, Sharp Edged, Cocktail Time, Style60's, and Japanese Garden, the Presage collection features multiple complications such as open heart, power reserve indicator and small seconds. Inside the Craftsmanship series, the dials are intricately designed with traditional Japanese techniques and unique materials such as the Arita Porcelain, Japan's first Porcelain. The latest addition to the Presage collection is the Sharp Edged series, a sharp tribute to the aesthetics of Japanese artistry. Another series that needs a mention is the Style60's, a series of timepieces inspired by the Crown Chronograph first launched in 1964.
Limited Editions
Known for creating unique timepieces, Seiko also has a reputation for numerous collaborations. Inside the Presage collection, these collaborations are with figures such as Studio Ghibli and Star Bar. One timepiece that needs special attention is the Seiko Presage Special Urushi edition. Made inside the studio of master craftsman Isshu Tamura in Kanazawa, this timepiece exudes a timeless black lacquered dial made with traditional techniques.

Nice and beautiful watch suitable for auspicious occasions. But for that price a chronograph watch would have been better. That is the only negative about the watch. Rest all perfect.
