Backdrop
The Ressence Type 1° collection is a series of innovative and contemporary wristwatches that combine traditional Swiss watchmaking techniques with modern design elements. Ressence is known for its unconventional approach to timekeeping, incorporating unique features that set its watches apart from more traditional timepieces. The Type 1 collection, in particular, embodies the brand's commitment to creating distinctive and avant-garde watches.
Features
One of the most distinctive aspects of the Ressence Type 1 watches is their unconventional display method. Instead of using traditional hands, the watches utilize a system of rotating discs and dials that create an illusion of the hands moving across the face of the watch. The timepieces inside the collection are characterized by their minimalist and sleek design, with a focus on clean lines and a simple, uncluttered dial. The absence of a traditional crown contributes to the minimalist look, as adjustments are made through a unique rotating case-back system.
Movement
Made in-house, the movement is based on the ETA 2892 and features the patented ROCS 1.3 module which is driven by the minute axle. The self-winding movement delivers a power reserve of approximately 36 hours while beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour.
