History
1982 marked the birth of the iconic Agassiz collection of the Longines brand of Swiss heritage. The solid gold models were a luxurious tribute to the founder of a brand which celebrated the 150th anniversary of the watch brand. Inspired by the same extravagant orchestration presented by the Agassiz, the La Grande Classique was defined a decade later in the year 1992 and treated as a refinement to the previous collection.
