History
Initially launched in 2012 as an alternative to the iconic Reverso, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vous collection emerged as an equally comprehensive set of timepieces inside the Grande Maison's creations. Be it the hand-crafted dials or beautiful diamond-studded bezels, the bling of the collection never seems to fade.
The Shooting Star
The first wristwatch to feature a shooting star on its dial, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vous Dazzling Shooting Star is a flawless, diamond-studded interpretation of the starry sky. The shooting star appears randomly four to six times an hour. The randomness is achieved by a second mainspring similar to the minute repeater complication which is wound by the rotor. The movement of the wearer differs and this affects the winding of the mainspring thus bringing the randomness of the complication. For the dazzling persona, the timepiece is fitted with a diamond-studded bezel and a ring inside the dial.
The Classic
The Rendez-Vous Classic series is home to various complications such as the day/night indicator, moon phase, and date. These variations are fixed at the 6 o'clock marker. In the Rendez-Vous Date, two consecutive dates are displayed in Arabic numerals. Whereas, in the Rendez-Vous Night & Day, the day/night indicator is displayed by a crescent moon and stars.
The Jewellery
The Jewellery series inside the Rendez-Vous collection is fitted with diamonds and precious materials. This series is home to various timepieces such as the Jewellery Moon, the Jewellery Tourbillon, and Jewellery Celestial. In the Jewellery Moon, the moon phase indicator is fixed at the 6 o'clock marker and covers almost the entire dial. The oval-shaped sub-dial also incorporates stars apart from the crescent moon. Similarly, the Jewellery Celestial presents a picture of the Northern Hemisphere inside the oval sub-dial. Apart from the moon phase, the Jewellery series is also home to a tourbillon iteration. Fixed at the 6 o'clock marker, this diamond-studded Jewellery Tourbillon is a passionate representation of the Grande Maison.
The Dazzling
Firing up the engine of its gem-setting traditions, Jaeger-LeCoultre decided to equip the Rendez-Vous collection with a diamond-studded journey. For the brand, one level of the diamond-studded bezel was not dazzling enough. So, they decided to camp two diamond-studded bezels instead. Apart from the diamonds, the series is also equipped with various complications such as the moon phase and day/night indicator fixed at the 6 o'clock marker.
