Design
Perfecting the Grand Seiko’s idea of heritage, the Grand Seiko Heritage collection draws most of its inspiration from the smooth flow of time. The Japanese philosophy of longevity and simple living translates into this collection with a calming design. The heritage of the Spring Drive technology is best exemplified on the dial with a texture that represents the famed autumn season of Japan.
Features
The dial is encrusted with hour markers in the shape of rods and the lugs wrap the case like in a single flow. Featured with black, blue, and mother of pearl dial, the Grand Seiko Heritage collection is equipped with a date window at 3 o’clock and a power reserve indicator between 7 and 8 o’clock for the variants equipped with Spring Drive technology. For travellers, the traditional Heritage collection also features a GMT variant with a long central hand pointing to the second time zone.
Limited Editions
Celebrating the newly designed 9SA5 movement, the Grand Seiko Heritage SLGH002 features a hi-beat movement that vibrates at 36,000 vph. Whereas, the SLGH009 features a complacent dial while celebrating the 55th anniversary of the 44GS, commonly known as the Snowflake.
