History
Launched in 2001, the Graham Chronofighter collection was widely recognised for its vintage look and aesthetic acumen. In 2016, the Graham Chronofighter Vintage was launched to keep the ‘vintage-ness' alive. Since 2016 the Chronofighter Vintage collection has kept its legacy and tradition of Graham alive.
Design
The Graham Chronofighter Vintage collection is a reminder of the WW2-era bomber watches worn by the bomber pilots of the USAF. The trigger on the left side, the oversized dials, and large hours markers make it the best available option for an aviator destined to bomb enemy trenches with accuracy. In the modern world, the Graham Chronofighter Vintage carries the same tradition of being the same “bomber watch”. With tradition and heritage under its belt, the Graham Chronofighter Vintage collection offers a larger-than-life persona. Endowed with only automatic movements, the Chronofighter Vintage collection offers mechanically precise timekeeping.
Limited Editions
Apart from being vintage, the collection also holds some curiously limited edition timepieces. One of these limited edition timepieces is inspired by the medical watches from the 1920s called the Chronofighter Vintage Pulsometer. Equipped with a pulse meter on the dial, it helps monitor heartbeat and measure pulse. Another set of limited edition timepieces is the Chronofighter Vintage Aviator DLC edition. These limited edition timepieces are inspired by the vintage altimeters and vertical speed meters equipped in the cockpits of military aircraft. The seconds window at 3 o'clock resembles the crosshatch markings on an altimeter. Whereas, the day/date window at the 9 o'clock marker displays the date in a similar manner as a vertical speed dial in cockpits. Apart from the resemblance, these timepieces are equipped with DLC-coated cases. Adding a pinch of humour to the limited-edition, the Chronofighter Vintage Brexit? is a wink at the political situation in the United Kingdoms during the 2020s.
Features
Taking most of its design elements from the WW2-era bomber watches, the Chronofighter Vintage collection is equipped with a trigger on the left side protecting the crown. Apart from the trigger, the dial is a canvas for Graham. Ranging from the WW2 era nose art to limited edition artworks, the Graham Chronofighter Vintage collection provides an exquisite experience in timekeeping. The day/date-keeping capabilities of the Chronofighter Vintage collection can be witnessed at the 9 o'clock marker. Fitted with various complications such as chronographs, day/date, and GMT, the Chronograph vintage collection is a true pilot's watch. Most of the Chronofighter Vintage timepieces are equipped with chronograph sub-dials at the 3 and 6 o'clock marker displaying hour and 30-minute counters, respectively. There is one exception inside the collection, the GMT. The Chronofighter Vintage GMT is equipped with a dual-time zone displayed by a large hand with an arrow pointing at the 24-hour indicator at the outer bezel. Whereas, the date, hour counter, and the 30-minute counter are fixed at the 12, 9, and 3 o'clock markers, respectively.
