The Panerai PAM00292 Radiomir Black Seal Ceramica for men, is an epitome of historical importance as the naval war watch. Completely fashioned in black, this time keeper comes with a black ceramic dial with Panerai patented loop wire attachments in steel, as the material finish that adds to its durability. The dial is engraved with luminous indexes and appliquéd Arabic numerals as the hour markers of the timepiece. Black toned arms, with luminous fill, enhance the night view of the watch by increasing the dial readability. The Swan’s neck black crown calibrates the dial motion of hour and minute hands for a précised time keeping. Cotes De Geneve decoration on the bridge and a sealed screw black case back ensures that the watch remains protected at all times.
A Panerai personalised leather strap, with a large size steel buckle, incorporates the timepiece with a comfortable grip, and free wrist movements for the wearer.
Featuring an impressive power reserve of 56 hours, the Panerai PAM00292 Radiomir Black Seal Ceramica is powered with the automatic mechanical movement with its Panerai OP IX Calibre. This timepiece is also equipped with Glucydur Balance and an Incabloc anti-shock device, officially patented by Panerai. Being water resistant to a depth of 100 metres, this timepiece can withstand accidental splashes of water while showering. Its 2.2 mm thick sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective coating over the case window, renders the dial scratch resistant and shatter-proof to further increase the dial readability. This watch also features a small seconds’ counter located at the 9 o’ clock position of the dial. The ceramic material finish provides the timepiece with great resistance against corrosion and extreme temperatures.
The Radiomir Black Seal Ceramica is a redefined version of the Officine Panerai’s historical watch, made in 1938, for the Italian Navy, paying tribute to the Gamma group in the Italian Navy, which used “pigs” and “black seals” for their strategies during the Second World War.
Officine Panerai Radiomir time pieces are widely touted to have the richest history and are the signature collection for this brand. Cases are made in an array of sizes ranging from 42 mm, 43 mm, 45 mm, 46 mm and 47 mm. The styling of the case carries an authentic vintage aura with its curved and rounded appearance. Unlike the Luminor models that sport a patented crown protecting device, the Radiomir watches contain wire lugs, a unique design that connects the straps to the case.
With hand-wound mechanical or automatic mechanical movements topped with an anti-reflective, scratch-proof Sapphire Crystal, this collection sports a Cotes de Geneve decoration on the bridge for a holistic experience. The straps are made of gorgeous Panerai personalized leather with large sized polished steel buckles. The unique Radiomir experience is fulfilled by the changeable strap attachments that come along with the patented screw system, personalized according to the wearer’s choice. A delightful surprise greets us at 9 o’ clock in the form of the seconds sub-dial in select watches such as the Radiomir Black Seal Acciaio, the Radiomir Black Seal Logo Acciaio and the Radiomir Black Seal Ceramica.
An unimaginable 1 million euros were made as proceeds and two worlds records broken by individual vintage Panerai models on 8th December, 2014 in the ‘Panerai only’ auction organized by the well known Artcurial auction house for Officine Panerai. The Panerai models that broke all records were the extremely rare ‘Radiomir Egiziano’, a diver’s watch made in the year 1956 for the Egyptian Navy and a Special Edition Radiomir PAM00021, crafted in platinum in 1997 with a case design similar to the Panerai models made for the Royal Italian Navy in 1938.
