Omega is a brand renowned for manufacturing luxury watches, based in Switzerland. The brand entered the watch making industry in 1848, originally named as La Generale Watch Co. by the founder, Louis Brandt. The Constellation Collection of this brand has a construction that blends the traditional design of an Omega watch with contemporary styling. A special attribute of this range of watches is the unique Constellation star displayed at the 6 o’clock position. Moreover, their bracelets consist of horizontal links, which have been built to provide maximum comfort to your wrists.
The timepiece from the Omega Constellation Collection, Model- 220.127.116.11.01.001 boasts of a 38 mm case made of polished steel. A transparent case back has been provided to observe the inner mechanisms of the watch. Distinguished by its legendary claws, this timepiece consists of a round black dial, with hour hands polished by a luminous marker for visibility in the dark. Silver toned indexes specify hour markers, and the bezel has been etched with Roman numerals. A day display window at 12 o’ clock, and a date display window at 6 o’ clock are present on the dial. The case window displays fine craftsmanship using domed, scratch resistant sapphire crystal coated with anti-reflective material on both sides. A bracelet, made of stainless steel, further enhances the outlook of the watch.

The functions of the watch include the basic display of hours, minutes and seconds, along with the day and date specified. This model possesses the ability of water resistance up to 100 m, which allows you to wear it while swimming without the fear of damaging the timepiece.
The Constellation Collection by Omega was launched in 1952, has since been renowned for its ultra precise movements and elegantly refined cases. Century, a limited edition wristwatch unveiled in 1948 on the firm’s 100th anniversary, is the progenitor of the collection. Due to the overwhelming response received by this watch, the brand launched the Constellation collection, which imbibed the same qualities. In 1982, the Constellation “Manhattan” was launched, with which the four claws or “griffes” were introduced that keeps the sapphire crystal case intact to securely render the watch waterproof.
The Omega Constellation collection has been exemplified in several sub collections that include the Gents’ Collection, Ladies’ Collection, Orbis Constellation Star, Sedna, and the Luxury Edition. The watches in the Gents’ collection feature distinctive design factors – the renowned claws on the case, horizontal links for utmost comfort, and a Constellation star, which is situated at the 6o’ clock position. Featuring a vast range of watches with different sizes, metals, dials, and diamond options to choose from, the Ladies’ Collection contains at least one watch to suit every wrist. The Orbis Constellation Star supports Orbis International – which gives advanced eye care to some of the most inaccessible regions in the world, and it’s Flying Eye Hospital. An 18-carat rose gold alloy, consisting of copper, palladium, and at least 75% gold, has been used to craft the Constellation Sedna. This breathtaking alloy adds an innovative and stunning appeal to the watch, giving it a long lasting rose-coloured hue. The magnificent Omega Constellation Luxury Edition watches showcase multitude of diamonds in spectacular supernova pattern, which dazzles the eyes of the onlooker.
A gold Omega Constellation “Manhattan” was worn by the former president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev. One of the 20th century’s most popular musicians, cultural icon, actor, and American singer, Elvis Presley had worn a black-dialled Constellation Calendar.
