The name Tag Heuer combines the abbreviated letters of Techniques d'Avant Garde, which is the firm that bought the brand soon after it was founded by Edouard Heuer, and his last name. It was later bought in 1999 by LVMH that owns the brand till the present day.
The WAT1111.BA0950 Link timepiece has a bracelet that is made of steel. It makes use of a center link construction and has a deployment clasp with a push button for security. The timepiece features a case that is made of durable stainless steel with a polished river stone finish. This watch has a beautiful white dial with hour indexes displayed using rectangular markings. Its hours and minute’s hands have a skeletal structure and a silver finish, while the second’s hand is thin. The hands features a luminescent fill, which makes them glow in the dark, allowing you to read time even in low light conditions. Tag Heuer’s shield is displayed in all its glory just below the twelfth hour index. Above the sixth hour index, the word Link is displayed. An anti-reflective and scratch resistant sapphire crystal over the dial protects the timepiece from external wear and tear. A silver bezel is seen mounted on the case, with the twelfth, third, sixth and ninth hour indexes marked using Roman numerals. On the circumference of the dial, markings are present that display the minutes.
Amongst the many interesting features of the watch, its water resistance is quite impressive. This timepiece is suitable for light to moderately heavy water based activities, as it is waterproof to a depth of 100 metres or 330 feet. This watch is made especially for men and uses a Swiss quartz movement to offer accurate time always. A date window is present at the 3 o’clock position of the watch.
One of their most iconic watch collections, the TAG Heuer’s Link was revamped in 2011. It was originally introduced in the 1980s and has been a big part of the brand’s ethos since then. The core of the Link collection is connected to its bracelet that offers a unique feel and look.
The bracelet tends to be the standout factor for this collection with Tag Heuer having restructured the aesthetic substantially. The links in the bracelet tend to be flatter and angular with the space between the parts reduced compared to the older models. The bracelet was designed to have no exposed pins on either side illustrating some very ingenious engineering. The bezels stand out being polished, containing Roman or Arabic numerals. Instead of being round, the bezel ring tilts down giving it an interesting cushion shape.
The standard quartz watch is 40mm wide with a three-hand movement and is known as the Link Watch with Quartz Movement. The Calibre 6 model is 40 mm wide and also showcases a subsidiary seconds hand. The 42 mm wide Calibre 5 automatic features day-date functions.

The links are very fluidic and add to overall aesthetic value of the watch. The other good thing about this watch is the dial diameter. At 40 mm it is suitable for majority of wrist sizes. However, I will not recommend this size for people having very broad wrists.
It is hard to find any drawback in this watch. The only drawback i could make out is its movement. At this price people expect automatic but I am not complaining.
