Rado has been designing pieces for more than half a century. A simple glance at an old piece will make one discover how Rado pieces never look outdated and monotonous. Rado timepieces are crafted with the most brilliant metals, and the most stunning designs. With their futuristic exterior and function, Rado watches never look old. The first scratch resistant watch to be produced was the Diastar, in 1962. Following this, the Integral came into being, in 1986. These collections and pieces appeal to a wide range of customers even today. The DStar collection is a direct descendant of the DiaStar.
Inspired by the DiaStar of 1962, the DStar R15609162 incorporates a vintage look. Crafted of high tech ceramics, the case measures 42mm, and is attached to a hi-tech ceramic bracelet in black tones.
The black textured dial features luminescent and pronounced white and gold toned hour markers and hands. An arrow shaped seconds marker, and a date display at 3 o’clock, lend to the vintage look of this design. A bold look, along with perfect mechanisms, casts a spell on its beholder.
A perfect blend of past and future, the piece incorporates automatic movement, containing 25 jewels, which ensures precise time reading. A power reserve of 38 hours allows you to stow away the watch for more than a day, without disrupting its movements. The watch is water resistant up to 100 meters, and can be worn while swimming or taking a walk on a rainy day. The timepiece consists of a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, which protects the internal machinery of the watch. A transparent case back offers an insight into the intricate working of the Swiss made masterpiece.
Rado timepieces are not only unique but are a work of art. The history of Rado goes back to 1917 when three brothers in a small Swiss town established a clock work company. It was in 1957 that the brand launched its first collection of watches for men. In 1962 Rado launched the world’s first scratch resistant watch. Today watch lovers throughout the world admire timepieces from this brand for its use of innovative materials and design.
Simplicity reigns with this streamlined, sleek and dynamic collection. The D Star is inspired by sharp looks and are mostly crafted with three breakthrough materials – Ceramos, High-tech ceramic and carbon diffused steel.
Several famous actors, sports person, and stalwarts in different fields have been associated with the brand. Julia Gorges, a German Tennis champion, with a bright future ahead of her, has undoubtedly proved, as Rado ambassador, that dreams can be become reality. Lisa Ray, an international model and actor, is elegant and stylish, befitting the brand. Renata Litvinova, is a Russian actor, director, and screenwriter. Her versatility and creativity put her in sync with the theme of the company. Another personality associated with Rado, is the Indian film-star, Hrithik Roshan. Known for adapting to every role, he is more similar to the watch making label than anyone else. Andy Murray, Agnieszka Radwanska, and Tang Wei are also a few impressing personalities associated with Rado.
