The Conquest collection showcases the brand’s venture to step into the luxury sports division of the watch-making industry. The watches in this collection are specially crafted for adventure sport lovers. With a sober and sophisticated design, strong and special cabochon steel base watches were designed to meet the high-end needs of aerial, equestrian, aquatic and snow sportsmen and women. The watches in this collection were equipped with both Quartz and Automatic movements for an accurate time precision.

Longines Conquest L3.700.4.56.6 or 1/100th Alpine Skiing watch is the signature watch for snow adventure sports. This luxury sports utility timepiece or the skiing watch comes with a heavy polished fixed steel bezel and a black lacquered polished dial. The dial is beautifully finished with silver toned Super Lumi-Nova hour and minute hands along with a red seconds arm. The black dial also compliments the silver hour indexes, along with appliqued 12th arabic numeral. The outer rim of the dial consists of etched out minute and seconds mark indexes adding more to its sporty looks.  With a 41mm huge case size diameter, this masterpiece holds the bezel with a steel bracelet available with folding clasp for a firm grip for the skier.

Longines Conquest L3.700.4.56.6 is mechanically defined by quartz movement with a L440 Calibre sweep. This sports watch offers great scratch resistant qualities thanks to its Sapphire Crystal finish glass coating over the case window. It holds super leak-proof durability against water immersion or any forms of contact with water up to a depth of 300 metres giving the time piece a promising sealed leak proof covering. The chronograph mechanism of this luxury sports timepiece includes the use of 3 sub dials: Central seconds and 1/100 seconds counter, 12 hours counter at 10 o’clock and 30 minutes counter at 2 o’clock.

The Longines Sport collection of watches celebrates the brand’s deep connections with all forms of sport since the launch of 20H, its first chronographic movement, in 1878. With the creation of multiple precise timekeeping instruments, Longines established its dominance in all things athletic, such as the Belmont Stakes, of which it is the official timekeeper. More notably, Longines was the official timekeeper of the first Modern Olympics, a fact which is commemorated by the Conquest sub-collection. The second variation of this line, the Hydroconquest, was created for divers across the globe. The Longines Sport, hence, embodies a unique blend of contemporary technology and enduring elegance, making it a favourite with the athletic watch aficionados.

Watches from the Longines Sport collection have a distinctive sporty appeal with their enlarged bezels available in multiple shades such as black, red, blue and silver. Their perfectly circular cases are made of stainless steel for long-enduring elegance. Pronounced extensions from the case house the crown and additional screws in each watch of this collection. Their crowns are fluted to impart an element of rugged appeal to the ensemble, as well as to ensure a secure grip while adjusting time. Protected by sapphire crystal casing, certain models boast multiple layers of anti-reflective coating for an unhampered view of time. The circular dials vary in tone from white to black, including unique shades of blue and mother of pearl. Hourly intervals of time are marked by new-age Arabic numerals and simple indexes, while specific versions are studded with brilliant diamonds. Longines adorns the bezels of some of these watches with diamonds as well for a glamorous dimension. Most watches come with exquisite dual-toned bracelets, while others sport durable rubber straps.

Most timepieces from the Longines Sport line come equipped with immaculate quartz movement for precise timekeeping functionality. Chronographic features on some of these watches, with multiple sub-dials and tracks, in addition to rectangular date windows, allow for an advanced horologic experience. Water resistant up to a depth of 300 metres, this collection offers true divers watches, upholding the Longines heritage.

The Conquest is a very beautiful timepiece produced by Longines. The dial size is perfect for everyone, even the ones with small wrists. The black-silver-red colour combination looks classy and makes the watch stand out among others. The black dial is also a nice feature. The multiple layered anti-reflective coating adds to its elegance. The only disappointment for some might be its Quartz movement as they would expect a Longines to be a self-winding one, but if you are not going to wear it on a daily basis, Quartz is a better option. And being a Longines, it definitely is worth the price.
