Nostalgia is a strong emotion, and this is what the Une Folle Journée meant to Trilobe. An echo of the first timepiece created by the brand, the Trilobe Une Folle Journée collection was first released in 2022. After the launch, the watch was nominated for the prestigious Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2022 and has garnered attention for its design and mechanical dexterity.
Embodying the artistic DNA of the Maison, the Une Folle Journée displays floating and rotating eccentric rings. A perfect blend of contemporary design and fine watchmaking, the watch displays complex movement on an open-worked dial.
Fitted with three rings, the hours are marked by the largest one on the perimeter of the dial, whereas the minutes are displayed on the median ring, and the smallest one displays the seconds.
The X-Centric³ movement was specifically designed for the Une Folle Journée collection. Made with traditional Swiss watchmaking tradition, the X-Centric³ was designed and ideated in France with an aesthetical approach. Equipped with a micro-rotor, the automatic mechanical movement has a power reserve of approximately 48 hours while vibrating at 28,800 vph.
ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
The watch is the movement. As eccentric as it sounds, the X-Centric is a movement conceived in France and built in Switzerland. The patented movement is unique as it displays minutes, hours, and seconds with rings. It took 5 years of research and development to produce this movement. Finished intricately with hands, the X-Centric is powered by a micro-rotor and delivers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours while vibrating at 28,800 vph.
