About the Tissot T-Sport Collection
History
After heralding itself through the clutches of technical mastery, Tissot decided to reel in the world of sports. Officially timing various events such as The International Fencing Federation, the International Basketball Federation, the FIM Superbike Championship, NASCAR, MotoGP, the Ice Hockey World Championship, and the International Cycling Union, Tissot decided to launch the Tissot T-Sport collection in 1999.
Features
Fitting the bill of a perfect sports watch, the Tissot Chrono XL features three sub-dials. Adding to the bill, the Chrono XL is also associated with the NBA and provides special edition timepieces for the NBA teams such as LA Lakers, Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs etc. Adding a tachymeter to the same setup of chronographs, the PRC 200 is also offered in a special edition made in collaboration with International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Featuring a tachymeter on the bezel, the Tissot Supersport Chrono is a vibrant addition to the collection. Inspired by the wheel of a motorcycle, the Tissot T-Race is a masculine sports watch with a robust construction. Featuring a brilliant chronograph and a tachymeter, the T-Race is futuristic. Tissot decided to team up with Moto GP and construct the Tissot T-Race Moto GP series which also features special editions for various champions inside the Moto GP. In another instance of brilliant collaboration, Tissot collaborated with Tour De France and crafted the T-Race Cycling. These timepieces feature limited edition timepieces named after the cyclists participating in the Tour De France. Made in collaboration with Renault’s performance division, Alpine, the Tissot Alpine on Board set of timepieces features mouth-watering timepieces. Similarly, to celebrate the success of the world’s most performance-efficient engine, the Tissot V8 is a robust set of timepieces.
The Divers
Tissot decided to incorporate a set of robust diving watches. Inside the Seastar 1000 series, the robust timepieces deliver a water-resistant capacity of 1,000 ft. Whereas, the Seastar 2000 offers a whopping water-resistant capacity of 2000 ft. Both the Seastars are equipped with a uni-directional rotating bezel. The Seastar 1000 also features a limited edition timepiece equipped with a helium release valve.

BEAUTY AND A BEAST
These are the only world that struck my mind when i first saw this watch. Swiss watch makers have done their job perfectly and brought us the new collection TISSOT PRC 516.
The watch has a sporty look which is not a general field for Tissot but the watchmakers have done their job exceptionally well. The glass material is sapphire crystal which is ok but prevents it from any scratches. The black colored dial 44 mm dial is slightly big as compared to previous Tissot watches. Quality of the rubber strap is extremely good and appreciates the dial.
Price is the only thing that matters in luxury watches and believe me you can't have a better sports watch at this price. -

Ethos has once again brought Tissot's new collection to the Indian market soon after its launch at the Baselworld. Tissot (second "T" silent) is a luxury Swiss watchmaker that has some great timepieces at affordable prices. After the launch of the iconic T-Touch quite a few years ago, Tissot has been quietly working on its new collection.
With the launch of the PRC 516 models, Tissot has taken head on the likes of Omega and Tag Heuer. It's a professional motor sports watch with chronograph, date and tachometer functions. A large 44 mm dial seems more like a norm these days than an exception as more and more people prefer larger dial size. The watch has a black dial which matches nicely and merges with the black rubber strap. The dial is a little "crowded" but with all the functions, I guess it has to be that way. The quality of the rubber strap is good but not comparable to the straps of Hublot or Ulysse Nardin. But no one should complain on that front as the PRC 516 is several notches lower in price as compared to top end luxury watches. The case is made of brushed steel giving the watch it's sturdy and sporty look. With a sapphire crystal and an automatic movement inside that is visible from the transparent back, this watch is value for money.
What truly sets this watch apart is the very clever use of color yellow (or red) on the dial, strap and the crown. If you are a soccer fan and Brazil happens to be one of your favorite teams this summer, then this watch with yellow matching the team's jersey is just right for you!
