About the Raymond Weil Jasmine Collection
History
The Raymond Weil Jasmine collection of watches was launched in 2011 exclusively for ladies and was intended as a tribute to the unmatched beauty of Turandot, the female lead of Puccini’s opera. The collection aimed to imbibe the natural beauty and grace of the feminine from.
Design
The Jasmine Collection saw a departure from the regular needle shaped hands to more rounded and curvy leaf-shaped, blue hour hands. This imparted a more feminine look to watch. All the watches in the Jasmine series feature a blooming jasmine flower in the centre of the dial. Another prominent feature of this series is the sapphire lacquer forming the facade of the crown, imparting the watch with the look of a piece of jewellery. The entire Jasmine series uses rounded features, be it the case or the crown, which is reminiscent of the soft and elegant female gender. The more opulent watches in this series are adorned with small yet stunningly brilliant diamonds, and thus make it irresistible to the fairer sex. The strap has been crafted either in leather or stainless steel, each having its own charm. The strap comes in a variety of colours and designs to capture the mood and imagination of women. The dial with Roman numerals has a crystal clear display, owing to the case window being crafted with anti-reflective and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass.
Features
These watches use either mechanical or quartz movement. They are water-resistant up to a depth of 50 metres. A date window at 3'o clock imparts the female connoisseur with the complete view of time.
