About the Rado Sintra Collection
History
Rado’s journey began a little less than a century ago, in the year 1917. It was the collective initiative of three brothers, namely Fritz, Ernst and Werner Schlup. The company was first called Schlup & Co., and was a manufacturer of clockworks only. In 1957, after a span of 40 years, the luxury Swiss watch brand launched its first collection of watches, and acquired the name of Rado. It has been a long journey since then for the watch house. Rado has made a name for itself for their unique designs and use of innovative materials in the art of watch making. They have received over 20 international awards for their ground-breaking watches.
Design
The flow of the case and the graceful lines of the Rado Sintra’s high-tech ceramic bracelet form a harmonious frame for the flawless sapphire crystal. Expressing the Rado core value of comfort, only high-tech ceramic, sapphire crystal or titanium touch the skin.
Features
Watches belonging to the Sintra collection feature a Swiss calibre driven, highly precise battery operated Quartz movement. Apart from displaying the regular time keeping functions of hours, minutes and seconds, the Sintra collection employs high-tech ceramic material detailing, specially crafted for the comfort of its wearers. The Sintra collection expresses Rado’s core values of impeccable designs to go well with a wide range of dresses and multiple occasions.
