Product Description
History
The legacy of Rado, the luxury brand, began in a small town of Switzerland in 1917. Initially called Schlup & Co. clockwork factory, the watch-house was the joint venture of three brothers- Friztz, Ernst and Werner Shclup. 40 years down the line it became globally known as Rado, a name to reckon with.
Design
Rado revolutionized the watch world by introducing the use of high-tech ceramic in their watch-making process in the 1980s. Their watches are well-renowned for the use of luxurious material, as well as the aesthetics that go into making them and the Rado R28900702 is no exception to the rule.
This watch has been inspired by Jasper Morrison’s design and exudes a pristine white charm. The 37mm white high-tech ceramic case of the watch encases an elegant gold-toned dial. Its square golden yellow dial houses 8 diamond hour markers for a stunning display and the stick minutes and second hands in golden hue, enhances its understated elegance that can match up to any attire in your wardrobe. This watch is well-protected with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. A white high-tech ceramic 8-inch bracelet of the watch with a hidden-deployment clasp ensures a snug fit.
Features
The watch features a Swiss Quartz regulation which ensures precise time reading. You can wear this watch without worrying about rainy days, as it is water-resistant to a depth of 30m.
Interesting Facts
Rado was the first watch-maker to introduce scratch-resistant watches in 1962, launching their Rado DiaStar 1. They are also the pioneers and include the use of high-tech diamonds in the art of watch-making, reaching a hardness of 10,000 Vickers with the Rado V10K.
