Rado

History
Originally founded by three brothers Fritz, Ernst, and Werner Schlup in the small town of Lengnau, Rado has grown from a humble clockwork factory to a world renowned giant producing over half a million timepieces every year. Credited as the company, which produced the world’s first scratch-proof watch, the brand is known for its technological innovations as well as the skilled craftsmanship that goes into manufacturing each timepiece. Today, Rado has become a part of the Swatch Group of Comapnies

Design
Defined by very minimalist design elements, the R48793724 model was launched under the Flourence  collection and has been exclusively crafted for men with a refined taste. Unique in appearance, the watch is available in a single tone metal body. A perfect combination of classicism and modernity, the watch has an ageless design, which will remain unaffected with the passage of time.
Presented on a golden link bracelet, the watch has a champagne coloured dial. The uniqueness of the dial lies in the fact that it just has three round indexes placed at the 12 o’clock, 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions. These round indexes are diamond encrusted to make the watch appear opulent. A small rectangular window at the 6 o’clock position records the current date, which changes instantaneously at midnight. With index shaped hour, minute and seconds hands, which move flawlessly across the dial, the appearance of the watch is further enhanced. The use of sapphire crystal as the case window, makes the watch virtually shatterproof and resistant to scratches.

Features
A Swiss quartz movement helps the timepiece read time with accuracy. The model is water resistant to a depth of 30 m and can be worn by enthusiasts regularly, without worrying about it getting spoilt because of external climatic conditions, like humidity and occasional showers of rain. The watch can also endure accidental liquid spillages without getting adversely impacted.
