Product Description
History
Rado is a well-known manufacturer of designer, luxury watches. Based in Lengnau, the Swiss watch-maker has to its credit a number of path-breaking achievements , including the first-ever use of scratch-resistant materials in their timepieces. It holds the title of having come out with the first-ever scratch-resistant timepiece, the Rado DiaStar 1, made of sapphire crystal and hardmetal.
Design
The Rado R48742183-129.3742.4.018 watch is a simple yet well-designed timepiece. The moment it is fastened onto the wrist, it does not fail to radiate a dignified appearance and unmatched classiness. Belonging to the brand’s Flourence collection, the R48742183-129.3742.4.018 model comes in a 33mm case made of stainless steel. It sports a black dial as its clockface, with fine well-positioned indexes as hour markers. Like the polished hour-markers, even the hands sport a smooth and brushed appearance, and have been designed in the shape of a stick. For protection from scratches and accidental bumps, a scratch-resistant and durable sapphire crystal glass can be seen over the dial of this exquisite timepiece. A date window presents itself at the 6 o’clock position of the dial, rendering an intuitive reading of the date. Similarly at the 3 o’clock position, a small but hard-wearing push and pull crown comes attached to the side of the case. The strap, also in the same construction material, gives off a magnificent feeling and look, courtesy its seamless links design. At the same time, it is also durable and extremely resistant to external wear and tear.
Features
The watch performs basic hours, minutes and seconds functions with great ease. Its revolutionary quartz movement powers these basic timekeeping functions which also include date change. This R48742183-129.3742.4.018 model from the house of Rado possesses a water-resistance of about 30m, and has been designed to withstand light water contact, such as splashes of water or unexpected liquid spills.
