History
With a widespread global presence today, Longines found its genesis in the year 1832, with August Agassiz as its mastermind. Starting its journey as a small pocket watch selling brand, Longines soon established a factory in 1867, with a view of broadening its horizons. With gradual entrance into the international market such as the United States, Longines was now able to pioneer a mechanized form of production with higher accuracy.

The start of the 20th century, introduced a new phase for the brand. It began producing varied designs of high caliber that ensured better quality and performance. Now an internationally accepted brand name, Longines celebrated its 180th anniversary in the year 2012, marking a new benchmark for the brand. Identified through its winged hourglass logo, it is now present across 140 nations in the world, reflecting elegance and attitude.

Design
The La Grande Classique Model no L4.766.4.11.6 by Longines, depicts a simple yet stylish timepiece. The white dial is housed within a steel case of diameter 37mm, adding durability and elegance to the timepiece. Standing as contrast to the dial, the black Roman numerals and hands, make reading time easier.
A sapphire crystal forms the case window of the timepiece, rendering it scratch resistant. It also has an anti-reflective coating that allows easy reading of time even in bright sunlight. A polished stainless steel bracelet makes the timepiece is comfortable fit around your wrists. A crown attached to the side of the case allows easy winding.
