Laurent Ferrier Grand Sport Tourbillon Pursuit

Backdrop

In a bid to pay a fitting homage to his times spent on the racing track, Laurent Ferrier created a timepiece inspired by the exhilarating experience of being inside a race car. The Laurent Ferrier Grand Sport collection was launched in 2019 as an entry into the ‘athleisure’ segment.

Features

A classic sports watch, the Grand Sport features an integrated bracelet made with either 18Kt red gold or grade 5 titanium. The 44mm case integrated with the bracelet sits perfectly on the wrist. The dial features drop-shaped indices marked by Assegai-shaped hands. The Grand Sport also features small seconds dial at the 6 o’clock marker. The Grand Sport sports a tourbillon which is displayed on the caseback along with a view of the complex movement.

Movement

Powered by the coveted manual winding LF619.01 movement, the Grand Sport offers a power reserve of approximately 80 hours. What makes this movement a favourite amongst enthusiasts is its double hairspring tourbillon which keeps the balance on its central axis. This reliable and symmetrical movement was developed while keeping his passion for cars with similar characteristics.
