Design
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Moon Phase 39 comprises of a polished stainless steel case with a diameter of 39mm, which the namesake is based on. A water resistance of 5 bar/50 metres is conferred to the case and it has a thickness of 9.9mm. The dial is beauty personified with its silvered appearance and its gilt-hour markers. Hands are classically dauphine and the straps are made from genuine Alligator leather with a double folding buckle of 18 mm.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 925, automatic movement is housed in this magnificent watch. The ultra-thin movement is evidenced by the 4.9mm thickness that this watch displays. The model beats to a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and carries a power reserve of 38 hours.  The rotor is engraved with the Master Control 1000 Hours and the manufacturer’s logo. Jaeger-LeCoultre submits all their watches to a strict ‘1000 Hours Control’ where watches undergo a full 1000 hours of tests around temperature, atmospheric pressure, shock and magnetic field resistance as well as water-resistance trials. The watch is best known for its Moon-phase contraption with a date display elegantly featured on the dial as well.

The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) event in Geneva saw Swiss watch making giant Jaeger-LeCoultre rising to the occasion by introducing re-editions of successful classic watches and sophisticated time pieces. Ultra thin models have always been the forte of Reverso watches and the trend has hit the Master series as well. The Master Ultra Thin lineup was talked about for ages before its glamorous unveiling during the SIHH where Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced the Master Ultra Thin Moon 39 in three distinctive cases: stainless steel, pink gold and a special edition with pink gold in diamonds. Jaeger-LeCoultre targeted a broad audience with its sophisticated releases.
