About the Graham Swordfish Collection
History
With designs that were reminiscent of the second world war, it was important for Graham to cater to fresh designs. In 2001, the brand launched a design competition to do so. The winner of the design was named the Swordfish collection and took a permanent place inside Graham’s inventory.
Features
If we look at the other collections such as the Chronofighter, Fortress, and Superlight the crowns are perfectly fitted on the left side of the watch. With the Swordfish collection, it is fitted at the right side with pushers over and underneath it. Also, Graham decided to relieve its large onion crown from the Swordfish collection and instead installed a knurled crown. A chronograph, the Graham Swordfish collection is fitted with two sub-dials at the 3 and 9 o’clock marker making it look like the face of a swordfish, thus the name. The Graham Swordfish is available in bronze and steel cases.
Movement
The Graham Swordfish collection is equipped with an in-house automatic movement, the G1710. The G1710 is equipped with an Incabloc shock absorber and offers a power reserve of 48 hours while beating at 28,800 vph.
ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
Graham and its affinity towards crafting aviation timepieces are visible on most of its blueprints but the Swordfish is on a different track. A rather unique timepiece, the Swordfish is also fitted with a robust movement, the G1710. The G1710 drives two co-axial counters while the bridges are decorated with Côtes de Genève. The aesthetic and mechanical aspects are further complimented by a decent power reserve of approximately 48 hours. The G1710 also offers added protection with the addition Incabloc shock absorber while vibrating at 28,800 vph.
