History

Launched in 1980, the Corum Golden Bridge collection remains a unique construction in watchmaking, an original creation where the linear movement forms both the calibre and most of the timepiece's dial.

The In-Line Baguette

Since its preliminary launch in 1980, the Corum Golden Bridge has seen a range of variations, and this model keeps the collection’s hallmark feature – a motion that shows the total switch of power from its spring barrel at 6 o’clock to the escapement at 12 o’clock. The calibre inside the Golden Bridge is what Corum refers to as an “in-line baguette” motion, which has all its elements stacked up in a column-like shape. Like the numerals, the bridge shape that helps the motion is made from precious metals and adorned with lots of engravings along with the emblem name. This specific motion format permits the wearer to view each aspect of movement as strength is transferred from one cease of the case to the other. Golden Bridge did this with utmost perfection whilst creating a linear movement. The compact and precise movement steals the show as it is designed and perfected for a magnificent view.
