Backdrop

The Eterna KonTiki collection is known for its exceptional craftsmanship and durability. Inspired by the legendary KonTiki expedition led by Thor Heyerdahl in 1947, the collection embodies the spirit of adventure, exploration, and resilience. 11 years after the expedition, the brand launched the KonTiki as a stand-alone collection in 1958.

Features

Eterna KonTiki often boasts a distinctive aesthetic, characterised by bold and sporty designs, complemented by intricate dial patterns, luminescent hands and markers, and robust, yet elegant, wristbands. Some models also incorporate elements inspired by the KonTiki expedition, such as engraved casebacks depicting the famous KonTiki raft or other symbols of adventure and exploration. The timepieces under the collection are renowned for their robust build quality, often incorporating high-grade materials such as stainless steel, and bronze, and advanced water-resistant capabilities, making them suitable for various adventurous activities, including diving and water sports. The collection also includes some exclusive timepieces such as the KonTiki Four Hands. The Four Hands is a unique timepiece which employs four distinctive hands to display time and is also equipped with a date function. For women, the KonTiki fits the bill with diamond-studded markers and a rotating ceramic bezel. These timepieces are available in both automatic and quartz movements, the automatic timepieces are equipped with a 38mm case, whereas, the quartz watches are fitted with a 36mm case.

Super KonTiki

Keeping its heritage alive, Eterna revived the original design of the KonTiki and named it the 1973 Super KonTiki. The cushion-shaped case and sword hands are a testament to the voyage taken by Heyerdahl. A limited-edition timepiece, the Super KonTiki is limited to 1973 pieces.
