About the Bovet Dimier Collection
Named after the Dimier 1738 Manufacture acquired by CEO Pascal Raffy in 2006, Bovet Dimier is a contemporary sibling to the vintage-inspired Fleurier collection. It embraces modern, conventional watchmaking elements, such as the four lugs and the crown at three o'clock, unlike Fleurier watches with Amadéo cases and winding crown integrated into the only lug above 12. Also, one area where the Bovet Dimier collection really shines is the comprehensive and discerning use of complications. Yet, even with these subtle dichotomies, both these two lines predominantly share a similar personality, defined by Bovet's classical watchmaking art and engineering brilliance.
A Symphony Of Complications
The Bovet Dimier collection cleverly adapts the maison's signature intricacy and detailing with an excess of complications. The moon phase — one of the most romantic complications — advances the mechanical beauty of most Dimier watches, including Récital 22, Récital 23, Récital 26, Récital 27, and Récital 29. This poetic function is counterpointed by practical features such as the perpetual calendar and time zone display within the collection. These features find aspirational manifestations in series like Récital 21, Récital 26, Récital 27, and Récital 28 Prowess 1. Other functions that make their way into the Dimier family count tourbillon, retrograde date, and power reserve display in timepieces like the 2024-release Récital 12.
Bovet's Avant Garde Craftsmanship At Play
In addition to the traditional components, the Bovet Dimier Récital watches carry a wealth of exquisite details and finishing. Each timepiece manages to wow with a unique display of elements. Hand-engraved dials, the signature ‘writing slope' case, gemstones, and the eccentric interpretations of conventional complications ensure an aesthetical watchmaking confection on the wrist. Worth noting is the moon phase indicator, the most conspicuously used complication within the collection, reinvented into an impressive three-dimensional design. Its tasteful integration into watches evokes elegance and charm.
ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
The Calibre 13DM04-3FPL is an in-house, hand-wound movement by Bovet, powering the intricate functions of the Récital 27 watches. This movement manages three time zones, a day-night indication, and a highly precise moon phase complication. Comprising 512 components and 37 jewels, it operates at a 3Hz frequency, ensuring a power reserve of up to seven days from a single barrel. Remarkably, the moon phase complication is engineered for exceptional accuracy, requiring correction only once every 122 years.
