About the Angelus Urban Collection
History
Starting out as the world’s first series chronograph with a calendar, the Angelus Chronodato was the entry point to the long-drawn tradition of crafting tempting yet complicated timepieces. Taking the ideology of amalgamating technical acumen with an avant-garde design ideology from the Chronodato, the Angelus Urban collection is a spitting image of Angelus’s brand philosophy and was launched in 2011.
The Urban Collection
The Angelus Urban collection is an umbrella to various series like the U23, U30, U41, and U53. A sporty, modern, and well-engineered set of timepieces, the U23 Tourbillon by Angelus is equipped with the A-250 calibre. A brilliantly colour-coded series, the U23 is also equipped with a flying tourbillon releasing it from the clutches of gravitational pull. The background for this series’s main plate is made from CTP carbon. Over the main plate is a striking movement gasping for attention with the barrel at 12 o’clock and the flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock. Another series under this collection is the U30 Tourbillon. Launched in 2016 with a titanium case, the U30 Tourbillon is now available in a brushed Black Titanium case. The Angelus Urban collection is also home to the U53 Tourbillon. Only limited to 25 units, the U-53 Tourbillon is kind of like a stirrer in a not very well-known genre. The genre in this scenario is a diving watch coupled with a tourbillon. One might wonder what is the point of equipping such detailed complications in a diving watch? Well, to be precise, precision matters.
Associations
Angelus with its forward approach towards manufacturing timepieces has imbibed itself with ambassadors that are known for breaking the sheet of mediocracy. The list of ambassadors includes Thibault Magnin, a professional athlete with a penchant for adventure sports. Another ambassador on the list is a famous football player and manager Luis Campos.
ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
Complexity and dextrose go hand in hand with Angelus. A brand known for its heritage and mechanical prowess, Angelus has a plethora of in-house movements. One such movement is the A-150. A movement that displays the very best of Angelus on the dial itself, the A-150 is an automatic movement that offers a power reserve of approximately 45 hours while vibrating at 28,800 vph. The movement is primarily fitted inside the U-30 Black, a watch known for its flyback chronograph and a skeleton dial.
