About the Alpina Alpiner Collection
History
In 1908, Alpina launched its red triangular emblem which was dubbed the ‘Alpiner'. The name ‘Alpiner' was again mentioned when the brand was celebrating its 70th anniversary in 1953 with the ‘Alpina 70'. On the dial of Alpina 70, a beautiful faceted golden ‘Alpiner' was stamped. In 2014, the brand launched the Alpina Alpiner collection cementing the decades-long heritage of the ‘Alpiner'.
Essence

Deriving most of its DNA from the Alpina 4 timepiece, the Alpina Alpiner collection is strong and sturdy in nature. Features
With a clean dial and minute markers on the outer bezel, the Alpina Alpiner collection offers better visibility and ruggedness. The features that surround the Alpiner collection are derived from the Alpina 4 timepiece with the characteristics of being antimagnetic, antishock, water-resistant and stainless steel. Further cementing the idea of a rugged timepiece, the Alpiner Extreme watches offer a screwed-down case with protected crowns. The Alpiner collection is also equipped with a chronograph and a GMT variant with similar design philosophies. Apart from these two complications, the Alpiner also features a regulator. The Alpiner Regulator is available in different variants such as the Extreme Regulator and Regulator Automatic.

The Alpina calibre AL-525 is an automatic movement based on the Sellita SW200-1. It powers various Alpina timepieces, including the Startimer Pilot, Seastrong Diver, and Alpiner Automatic, offering functions like hours, minutes, seconds, and date indications. Additionally, it beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, provides a 38-hour power reserve, and is composed of 26 jewels.
