A Day at the Ethos Summit Boutique in Delhi10:49 am
Before visiting a watch store, you’d always have two things in mind: The store must have a selection of watches and a good price. Similarly for a watch store to do well, they have benchmarks as well: to maintain a good collection of watches which are priced reasonably well (keeping customer satisfaction constant). If they don’t mix well, nobody’s happy! But when you have the combination of an excellent selection of watches along with fair prices and a friendly and knowledgeable staff; you’re going the right way. And you’ll find just that at the Ethos Summit store in Select Citywalk, Saket.
Ethos Summit is located in the busiest point of the mall on the ground floor. People passing by the store make it a point to give a glance at the watches on display, some stop and look and some go in. When I visited the store, there were beautiful Cartier, Bell & Ross and Rolex watches sitting on the window. I’ve never seen those many rare and expensive watches on display so proudly before at any watch store, at least in India!
And once you do walk in, you’ll be warmly greeted by the staff who will then present to you the many luxury watch brands there. I had a word with the store head Jitender Kumar and his team and they have a very interesting take on the watches they sell, one that I am sure most watch stores should follow. Selling expensive watches is one thing but in order to be successful in selling the idea of owning a luxurious timepiece, the staff needs to be extremely knowledgeable about all the watches. Their model of selling is not just restricted to closing sales, it is also to educate the customers about the watches. “The knowledge we pass on to the customer is more often than not enough to convince them.” Jitender said. “We’ve seen many customers come and go, most of them are still loyal to us! Its only because they see that the staff know what they’re selling and that brings them back all the time”, he added.
The collection of the store is special as well! Each year the Ethos team travels to Basel for Baselworld – the largest watch fair in the world- where they meet a number of brands and choose the best and the most popular watches to sell in India. They take customer demands on brands and watches very seriously and ensure that they too make their way back home. Establishing a personal relationship with the watch manufacturer, learning about the watches in depth and then selling them directly to the consumer. That is what you get when you have a team of true watch lovers selling watches. And if you don’t take our word, visit the store yourself!
Because we couldn’t accommodate all their collections in one blog, I will mention the watch brands that are available at the store as you read this. Ethos Summit adds new brands every couple of months so expect to see something new every time you pay them a visit. Many of the brands the store has are exclusively available at Ethos, meaning they are the only place in India where these brands are available.
The watch brands they have in stock are:
The store can be reached at (011) 40588700 or located here on Google Maps . They will be more than happy to arrange, order, give you information regarding a watch and even have the watch delivered to you! You could reach out to them to schedule an appointment for picking your ideal timepiece. When you do visit them, feel free to mention that you learned about them on The Watch Guide. It’ll be great for the staff to know that their efforts are being acknowledged online and would motivate them to give to you an even better experience.
