Special versions of TAG Heuer chronographs were produced with logos of ‘the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,' as well as the names or logos of other racing teams or sponsors. Founded back in 1860, the company obtained its first patent in 1882, and in 1887 for an ‘oscillating pinion’, still used by major makers of mechanical chronographs. Since then, TAG Heuer watches have been popular among automobile racers, with both professionals as well as amateurs. In 1911, Heuer procured a patent for the "Time of Trip," the first dashboard chronograph. Their first wrist chronograph was introduced in 1914. The TAG Heuer LINK is among the most stunning ranges of collections that the company presents before you. The watches from this range have the characteristic bracelet links, that conceal the screw ends perfectly, to give the watch a classic look.
The TAG LINK CAT2011.BA0952.FT6023 is a timepiece with an atheletic look. Housed in a 43mm round steel case, the watch has a silver finish, which makes it a classic for men. The silver dial has a vertical streak effect, and silver hour’s hands, with super-luminova, a luminescent marker for better visibility in dark. A scratch resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial, making the watch durable. The silver bezel, which turns in an unidirectional mannner, has the tachymeter facility to measure speed. With the characteristic stainless steel links, the bracelet makes the watch a magnificent one.
The date display window at 3 o' clock gives you a better understanding of the time. The dial has been provided with other chronograph features, increasing the functionality of the watch. Powered with automatic movement, the watch is an expert timekeeper. It is water resistant upto 200 metres under water, bestowing you the liberty of having it fastened to your wrist even while you go swimming or snorkelling.
One of their most iconic watch collections, the TAG Heuer’s Link was revamped in 2011. It was originally introduced in the 1980s and has been a big part of the brand’s ethos since then. The core of the Link collection is connected to its bracelet that offers a unique feel and look.
The bracelet tends to be the standout factor for this collection with Tag Heuer having restructured the aesthetic substantially. The links in the bracelet tend to be flatter and angular with the space between the parts reduced compared to the older models. The bracelet was designed to have no exposed pins on either side illustrating some very ingenious engineering. The bezels stand out being polished, containing Roman or Arabic numerals. Instead of being round, the bezel ring tilts down giving it an interesting cushion shape.
The standard quartz watch is 40mm wide with a three-hand movement and is known as the Link Watch with Quartz Movement. The Calibre 6 model is 40 mm wide and also showcases a subsidiary seconds hand. The 42 mm wide Calibre 5 automatic features day-date functions.
