Manufacturing luxury watches, Rado is a Swiss brand with its origin in Lengnau, Switzerland. Marked for using a variety of rare materials like tungsten, lanthanum, titanium carbide, and sapphire crystal, Rado launched its Integral collection in 1986, using high-tech ceramic for the bracelet. A unique combination of contemporary technology with gold plated steel made this watch decorative as well as functionally important.
The Rado Integral MODEL#: R20206712 is a unique combination of the tactfulness of high technology with the purity of graphic linearity. It comes with a classy black dial embedded with diamond studded hour markers at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions that create a rich contrast with the dial. The silver hour, minute and second hands allow you to view the time with accuracy even in low light conditions. Featuring a sturdy black 31 mm square case made of stainless steel and futuristic ceramic, the watch has a minimalist and sleek design. Showcasing steel borders on two sides and a broad black segment in the middle, the size adjustable bracelet imparts to the watch a modish and sporty allure.
A scratch resistant sapphire crystal case window protects the dial from regular wear and tear. The solid closed case back safeguards its internal parts. With a fold over clasp, the bracelet fastens the watch securely to your wrist and also enables ease of wear. The edge-to-edge metalized sapphire crystal, bracelet and case appear in a parallel arrangement.
Powered by the Swiss Quartz movement, this watch is famous for its accuracy. The time piece also displays a date window positioned above 6 o’ clock. Being water resistant up to 50m, it stays protected against accidental spills.
Rado uses Top Wesselton diamonds only. The brand is famous for using stones that meet the Kimberley process requirements, preventing the use of blood diamonds.
Rado was formed in 1917 as, Schlup and Co., which produced watch movements only. With the launch of its collection of watches in 1957, under the name Rado, it amazed the world with its innovations. Today with 470 skilled workers the brand produces half million watches every year.
First produced in 1986, the Rado Integral was the first Rado watch in high-tech ceramic. A revolution in the watchmaking industry, it fuses the purity of graphic linearity with the finesse of high technology, seamlessly integrating a metallised sapphire crystal, case and bracelet within parallel lines. This new collection remains true to the original but is new for 2014.
Rado has won the Good Design Award for its innovative Hyperchrome Ceramic Touch in 2013 and 2014 by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
