Rado was formed in 1950 as the Schlup and Co. that produced watch movements only. With the launch of its collection of watches in 1957 under the name Rado, it amazed the world with its innovations. Its belief in the motto: “if we can imagine it, we can make it, and if we can make it, we will,” inspired the brand to create a range of watches with superior designs and techniques.
The Rado Hyperchrome L Quartz Watch model R32297153 for women, has a sleek and trendy design. It comes with a robust case made of a monobloc hi-tech plasma ceramic and stainless steel making the watch scratch resistant, light weight and appropriate for regular wear. The stylish black dial of the watch shows large stick index hour markers in silver for enhanced time clarity. Exhibiting silver super-luminova coating, the hour, minute and second hands allow you to view the time in pitch darkness. The silver bezel is craftily complemented by a silver push and pull crown. Made of stainless steel, the sturdy bracelet imparts a bold and stylish appeal to the watch. You can easily clasp the watch to your wrist, and sport this timepiece for as long as you like without feeling uncomfortable.
A closed case back and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal window provide protection to your timepiece from accidental damage or scratches. You can view the date in the date aperture placed at 3’o clock.
This 40 mm watch is powered by the Swiss made Quartz movement, ETA 955.112 and has 7 jewels that keep the watch time updated. Being water resistant to a depth of 50 metres, this timepiece can withstand accidental splashes with ease.
In 1917, in Switzerland, three brothers—Fritz, Ernst and Werner Schlup—opened a clockwork factory called Schlup & Co. From its humble beginnings, it is this same company that we today known as Rado. In 1957, exactly 40 years since its inception, the company changed its name to Rado Uhren AG and presented its first watch collection.
The monobloc case of the ceramic watches in this new Rado family represents a breakthrough in technology as well as a step forward in design. Lightweight, extremely comfortable and eye-catching, the Rado HyperChrome is the ultimate every day all occasion timepiece.
Key milestones in Rado’s impressive history so far include the world’s first scratch resistant watch, pioneering high-tech ceramic in watchmaking, the monobloc injected ceramic case and the introduction of touch technology in a ceramic watch. The brand was also the first to use plasma high-tech ceramic in the world.
