In 1917, three brothers established a clockworks factory at Lengnau, in Switzerland. In 1957, this factory, called the Schlup and Company, launched its first collection of watches under the brand name Rado. Henceforth, the company was also called the Rado Uhren A.G. In 1968, it became a part of ASUAG. A few years later, the SMH group acquired the ASUAG. 1998 onwards, the SMH has been known as the Swatch Group.
Rado’s progress was guided upon its faith in the efficiency of technology. They altered watch-making practices by introducing the use of materials like ceramics, hardmetal, lanthanum and sapphire crystal. In 1962, they launched the Rado DiaStar, the world’s first range of scratch-proof watches. 2004 saw them manufacture the V10k, the hardest watch on earth. Guinness Book of World Records awarded the company an accolade honouring this achievement.
A product from the Centrix Collection for men, this attractive watch has a fixed black ceramic bezel mounted on a stainless steel case, encasing a bold black analog dial. Set off by contrasting silver-toned hands and Arabic numeral hour markers, the watch has an unbelievably suave appearance. Minute markers are etched on the outer rim, enabling ease with time-reading. Rado’s scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial against signs of wear and tear.
The light-weight bracelet is composed of stainless steel and black ceramic inserts. It is not only stylish, but extremely comfortable to wear. Ensuring its safety on the wearer’s wrist is a deployment clasp with a push button.
Utilising an automatic movement, this handsome watch keeps you updated on the time and date. A minute date aperture is visible at the 3 o’ clock position. Further, a water resistance of 30 metres enhances the desirability of this watch.
From day one Rado has turned visions into concrete realities. Pushing the boundaries of material technology and continually introducing the unexpected, Rado has gone from strength to strength in the field of fine Swiss timekeeping since 1957 and has produced one revolutionary watch after another.
The shape and style of the Rado Centrix collection makes it a watch to desire. The tapered, lightweight, flexible bracelet gently and sensually embraces the wrist, offering exquisite comfort and grace, as well as uncompromising luxury and sophistication. Every Centrix is crafted to perfection.
Andy Murray, Hrithik Roshan are among some of the famous personalities to endorse the Rado collections.
