Panerai’s newest Luminor Submersible Collection of the 1950s, features a path breaking technological innovation and an ideal proportionate finish. The watch collection boasts an exclusive case designing that ensures a greater degree of resistance to the magnetic fields, ubiquitous in everyday life, capable of disrupting or even destroying a watch’s movement. Excelling in the rising demands of the divers, and mariners, the collection has become a crucial device for their status quo.
The Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 Timepiece PAM00389 for men is a much sought after watch for its sporty and rugged appeal. Its anti-clockwise, unidirectional, rotating bezel is elegantly crafted with ceramic and brushed titanium having refined edges. To further complement the looks of the bezel, it is beautifully integrated with brushed titanium case, thus making it corrosion free, and easy to handle, but strong at the same time. Talking about the dial, its classic black background is engraved with appliquéd luminous hour markers with a date window positioned at the 3 o’clock position, and seconds’ sub-dial placed at the 9 o’clock position.
The look of the robustly designed case would have been incomplete without a perfect strap. Therefore, to give a final touch to this outstanding timepiece for a raw and tough look, the case is attached with the Panerai personalised leather strap, and big-sized polished titanium buckle.
The Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 Timepiece PAM00389 for men is equipped with P.9000 Calibre, automatic mechanical movement. Featuring such modern day quintessential features as 197 components and two barrels, the timepiece houses an immense power reserve of 3 days. The anti-reflective Sapphire crystal glass case helps in preserving the dial from accidental damages, scratches and sun glare too. Having an impressive water-resistant mechanism to depth of 300 metres, the watch is an ideal for light water-sport activities and therefore, can easily withstand submersions. Also, the bezel of this timeless piece comes with an added functionality, which is that it is finely embedded with a graduated scale in order to calculate the time of immersion and ratchet click at minute intervals. Another spectacular feature of the watch is that its rubber strap comes with a second interchangeable strap (to provide another alternative to the wearer), and a steel screwdriver to offer the watch enthusiasts both luxury and comfort.
Officine Panerai time pieces are famed for their classic case backs and uncommon case designs. The Luminor 1950 case style is highly revered due to the vintage effect it derives from having the case side swept back gracefully. Some of the Luminor 1950 models are reminiscent of the vintage acrylic crystals as they display a unique dome shape crystal for their case style. The Luminor models appear with gentler curves whereas the Luminor 1950 timepieces ar familiarly straight edged. The models are available in two sizes: 44 mm and 47 mm and are styled for large wrists. The crown protecting device used to keep the crown free of damage and water is a Panerai Luminor identifier.
The Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT is a well rounded substantial watch model that features the brand’s famous P.9001 inhouse movement. It displays functions such as a power reserve display, a return-to-zero mechanism for the seconds hand triggered when the crown is pulled into the hand-setting position and a second time zone. A polished bezel with a pillow shaped case is very distinctive of this model. The Panerai Luminor 1950 PAM 321 is another classic edition set at a 44 mm case diameter with an elegant black alligator strap along with the model. The readability of the Luminor 1950 collection is highly acclaimed due to the sandwich dial construction with hour-markers that glow with a characteristic Panerai luminescence. The Luminor 1950 models are luxury time-pieces that vow never to go out of style.
The Officine Panerai’s Luminor 1950 8 Day GMT Oro Rosso-44 mm was defined as one of the top 5 best watches at the 72nd Annual Golden Globes Ceremony held in Los Angeles on the 11th of January, 2015. It was also spotted on the wrist of Golden Globes presenter for the occasion and actor Chris Pratt who is a dear friend of the brand.

The case has the shape of a rounded square which perfectly hugs and kisses the lugs, the elegant crown, and the bezel producing a very neat yet distinctive strong masculine appearance. Its matte finishing creates a stronger aesthetic appeal that soothes your eyes albeit almost like an urban camouflage....ready to get transformed from office to party look within seconds. Oh and there’s more, it uses a large sapphire crystal window so that you can fully appreciate the beauty of the watch’s beautiful internals....luminescent minute and hour markers which dictates time even in harshest nights peacefully ;) The black dial is totally refined to represent the individuality and identity of the watch — simple, clean, and functional. The subtle markers in dot and bar style are also coated with Super-LumiNova for optimum visibility.
With 300m water resistance power, surely it reckons some appreciable value empowering the wearer to march ahead with style and functionality !!
