Omega Seamaster 300 was first introduced in the year 1957. It was especially designed for professionals and divers who work underwater.
The Omega Seamaster 300 184.108.40.206.01.001 is an upgraded version of the original model. It consists of a 41 mm polished, and brushed stainless steel case with bevelled corners. The stainless steel bezel contains a polished “liquidmetal” black ceramic filled ring, giving the timepiece a distinct appeal. Both the bezel and the signed stainless steel crown feature notched edges, which give you an enhanced grip. Satin finished steel indexes and numbers are marked on the bezel. A sand blasted matte black dial has been enclosed in the case with fine printed second/minute hands.
The hours are marked with long arrow shaped indexes, which feature vintage coloured luminescent fill. Rhodium plated hour, minute, and seconds hands also feature vintage luminescent fill, enabling you to clearly read the time underwater. Domed sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating is used to protect the dial and caseback, while enhancing its sunlight legibility. Stainless steel bracelet with polished inner link and brushed outer links is attached to the watch with a push button foldover clasp in the end.
Omega caliber 8400 has been used at the heart of the watch, which beats at 25,200 vph. The movement is not affected by exposure to magnetic field, as it is resistant to fields greater than 15000 gauss. This timepiece is water resistant to a depth of 300 metres, enabling you to wear it while diving, and comes with a power reserve of 60 hours. It features Omega Si 14 silicon balance spring, which protects the watch from shock and other disturbances. The 38 jewels used in the watch ensure smooth movement by reducing the friction.
Launched in the year 1948, the Omega Seamaster Collection was inspired by the waterproof watches made toward the end of World War II for the British military. The watches in this collection have acclaimed worldwide fame due to their combination of exceptional stability and awe-inspiring designs. These watches are ideal for serious underwater sports and adventures.
This collection features several amazing series under it. First introduced in 1957, the Seamaster 300 Master Co-axial features the same dark dial, symmetrical case, big numbers and hands, and lighter indexes like its predecessor. The Planet Ocean 600M Collection showcases several watches with stunning designs and exclusive Co-axial movements. The Aqua Terra 150M Gents’ collection is easily recognizable because of its “Teak Concept” pattern on the dials. The Seamaster Aqua Terra Ladies’ Collection was the first to be equipped with the cutting-edge anti-magnetic Omega Master Co-Axial calibres. Available in lacquered black or blue dials, the Diver 300M Collection showcase white skeletonized hour and minute hands. The Ploprof 1200M is equipped with Co-axial caliber 8500 and is water-resistant up to 1200 meters. The winding crown located at the 12 o’clock position, surrounded by the two chronograph pushers at its sides; give the Bullhead collection its unique name.
In the James Bond movies since the release of GoldenEye in 1995, the character has consistently worn an Omega Seamaster. The Omega brand ambassador, Michael Phelps, an Olympic swimmer and multiple times gold medallist, wears the Seamaster Planet Ocean.
