Environmental conservation meets innovative watch making with the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean GMT 126.96.36.199.03.001. It features a round, brushed stainless steel case which is topped by a blue ceramic bezel ring. This bezel ring has a polished and brushed ribbed edge. You can find orange coloured numbers and indexes on the blue bezel surface. It also features a luminous dot on a triangle to mark the beginning point. The dial of the watch is blue with polished steel index markers and hands, all of which have luminescent fills. Hours and seconds emit blue luminescence while the minute hand and the rotating dot on the bezel a radiant green hue. You can find the date window placed at 3 o’clock. The case has Helium Escapement Valve located on the edge of the case at the 10 o'clock position and the crown at the 3 o’clock position. The dial is protected by a domed scratch resistant sapphire crystal, which can also be seen at the transparent case back.
The movement inside this Planet Ocean watch is the Omega Caliber 8605. It has 38 jewels and an approximate power reserve of 60 hours. This is a Co-Axial movement that features a Omega's "Si 14" silicon balance spring, that makes the movement extremely resistant to shocks and magnetic fields. The Co-Axial movement is COSC certified for accuracy in timekeeping. It has a GMT function that allows travellers to track two time zones at the same time using markings on the bezel too. In addition to all these, the watch has an impressive water resistance down to a depth of 600 metres.
