The Grande Complication series; JLC Q3413403 by Jaeger LeCoultre is aptly known as the ’39 Set’, for its crafted in 18k white gold with 2.45 carats of scintillating diamonds; running through the 39 mm diameter of the timepiece. The epitome of style and affluence, the wristwatch exudes the persona of womanhood. An immortal design; the watch distracts the eye as it attracts a prospective owner; enchanting her in a bid to be possessed. The unmatched blending of exquisite hand-picked diamonds with a watch-smith like JLC helps understand the enigmatic complication behind the Tourbillion.
The in-laid mother-of-pearl dial is akin to mellifluous poetry by virtue of having the hour slots tidily divided; with the segments flaunting a numeral each; in raven black. The 6th hour witnesses the tourbillion in all its overpowering magnificence; with a titanium carriage that weighs feather-light, at only 0.28 grams. The power-packed tourbillion derives its guise from the very essence of women. As like its’ wearer, it too, requires a comparatively lesser amount of energy to operate. Driven by an automated calibration of 978, the power reserve lasts up to two days before demanding a manual winding.
The fragile hands stand guarded by an encircled fort of diamonds, as does the cage of the tourbillion. The captivating timepiece brilliantly contrasts the white MOP dial with an alligator; black leather band; with a handy deployment buckle in white gold. Aimed at women of substance, the double-folding buckled instrument is water resistant to 50 meters alongside having a scratch resistant; sapphire crystal glass face.
Speaking of watches; there are the classics, the limited edition models, the signature collections and then, the ones which are ranked ‘rare’. The ’39 set’ definitely falls into the rare category. An embellished accessory, it suits any mood and occasion; complements any attire by its sophisticated charm.
Swiss watch-making company Jaeger Le-Coultre in a bid to honour women and their ageless beauty sought to make a series worthy enough to be dedicated to ladies. The Rendez-Vous watch collection, influenced majorly by the art deco movement, embodies ethereal elegance and takes sophistication to new levels with the diamond-gem setting on the dial. Femininity exudes through its very silhouette, crafted with a day/night indicator amid a hand-guilloche decor to perfectly capture Haute Horlogerie essence. The collection appears in 29 mm and 34 mm diameters and uses only soft palettes to bathe the senses. Pink gold, rose gold and steel are used with manually crafted finishes to perfect the case. It has mechanical automatic movement and an anti-reflective Sapphire crystal back. The hour markers emulate the 1930s style of numerals laying claim to years of expertise and adherence to tradition.
