American watchmaker Jacob & Co unveiled the first The World Is Yours, a 43mm 18-karat rose gold timepiece, in 2023. Founder Jacob Arabo designed the watch in memory of a Wakmann watch that his father gifted to him at age 13. That watch showcased two sub-dials for different time zones set against a gold-plated world map, with Europe on the left and the Americas on the right. Replicating this essence of paying ode to a father, Jacob & Co have designed a special The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone Salman Khan timepiece to honour Khan’s own father, the actor, producer and screen writer Salim Khan. At the press launch, the Bollywood actor and longtime friend of the brand, Salman Khan showered praises on the timepiece: “Time connects us across generations. When I learned Jacob’s story, I knew I wanted to create a timepiece that honoured my father’s role in my life. ‘The World Is Yours’ is more than a watch—it’s a symbol of family, legacy, and the moments that shape us.” The brand have also unveiled The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone Tourbillon.

Dual Time, Dual Watches: The World Is Yours Saga

Both The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone variants features a 43mm case cradling a titanium dial laser-engraved with continents to resemble a miniature Earth. The dial features a world map with engraved cobalt blue PVD for the oceans and 5N rose gold finish for the continents. The visual arrangement of the map thus has the Atlantic Ocean in the centre; North, Central, and South Americas to the West; and Africa, Europe, and Asia to the East, including the Arabian Peninsula. There are two time zones—each capable of being set up independently to the exact minute. The sub-dial at 12 o’clock features Roman numerals, while the six o’clock sub-dial has Arabic numerals. Both counters can be adjusted to different time zones via the three-position crown. The best part: the owner can decide which counter can reflect the main, or local, or home time. Creating refined, yet dramatic legibility is the domed, 3.7mm tall sapphire crystal glass with antireflective coating, which resembles the globular Earth.

The caseback features a laser-engraved world map and a ‘Salman Khan’ inscription, plus the actor’s initials ‘S.K.’

For a personal touch, the actor-inspired special edition watch features a custom box in the actor’s favourite shade, turquoise, redolent of his iconic turquoise bracelet.

The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone Tourbillon features a centrally located tourbillon that revolves once every 30 seconds—twice the speed of an average tourbillon. The tourbillon carriage bridge appears to be floating as it made from transparent sapphire, allowing the entire space to be occupied by another signature detail of the collection, an eight-pointer compass rose atop it.

Debut Of A Reliable Movement

Both the Dual Time watches are powered by the in-house produced JCAA45 tourbillon movement. For the first time, Jacob & Co incorporates an off-centred micro-rotor and solid 950 platinum composition that churns ample energy for optimal winding.

Religious Recourse: Jacob & Co: Ram Janmabhoomi Timepiece

While promoting his upcoming Bollywood movie Sikandar, Salman Khan was spotted wearing another Jacob & Co timepiece—the limited-edition Epic X Ram Janmabhoomi watch. The gold skeleton dial is engraved with Hindu gods and the history of the Ram Janmabhoomi. It’s a big watch with the case measuring 44mm, which encloses within the manual winding JCAM02 movement. This watch comes attached to an orange-coloured perforated honeycomb rubber strap with pin buckle.
