Not really known for their collaborations, when H. Moser & Cie. do partner up, the resultant timepieces are usually more than the sum of their parts. H. Moser’s latest Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Passion Fruit timepiece, released as part of a duo of watches showcased at Geneva Watch Days, 2024, is a statement in itself. For this declaration against traditional ‘stuffy’ watchmaking practices, H. Moser have collaborated with British watch brand Studio Underd0g to release these two timepieces inspired by the purple fruit with a pulpy yellow centre. And yet, the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Passion Fruit is still an elegant testament to how even a high-end watch with a complex complication can be presented in a playful manner that makes it fun to check the time.

Rebel With A Cause: H. Moser X Studio Underd0g
Just the collaboration between the two diverse brands itself says a lot. H. Moser are known for their ‘very rare’ and exclusive timepieces that feature technically complex complications, all displayed through stunning minimalism. Studio Underd0g, on the other hand, are a young brand who believe that the mechanical watch industry was too ‘serious and stuffy’ and needed a dose of fun. The collaborative idea was to create serious mechanical timepieces that don’t take themselves too seriously. As a consequence, the two brands released a duo of watches—the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Passion Fruit watch, displaying H. Moser’s GPHG-winning complication on a unique minimal dial, and Studio Underd0g’s 03Series Passi0n Fruit timepiece, with a cam-operated mono-pusher chronograph movement.
Eternal Passion Of The Unmarked Dial: H. Moser Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Passion Fruit
A 42mm steel case houses Moser’s hand-wound HMC 800 calibre whose functions include timekeeping, small seconds, date and month indication and an indicator for the seven-day power reserve on the dial side, and a leap year indicator on the caseback. However, it is the dual-toned dial in purple and yellow that stands out for Moser’s unmistakeable minimalism. On a rich, lacquered, purple, sun brushed base sits a second layer in yellow with a rhodium-plated edge. This ‘grand feu’ enamelling is carried out on an 18 carat yellow gold base with a hammered texture. At three is the large date display against black, while at six o’clock is an aperture on the superimposed yellow layer, displaying a snailed texture in purple for the small seconds dub-dial, and at nine is the power reserve indicator. Needless to say, there are no markings on the dial, not even a brand name. Leaf-shaped hands enhance the elegance of this timepiece, with a small central green hand indicating the month that corresponds with presumed hour markers on the watch. This green hand is indicative of the fruit’s edible seeds.
Passionate Statement: Studio Underd0g 03Series Passi0n Fruit
The same colour scheme is mirrored on Studio Underd0g’s 03Series Passi0n Fruit timepiece, with the 30-minute counter at three o’clock in purple against a textured dégradé background in yellow. Barring the numerals on this sub-dial and a tachymeter scale marked around the purple periphery, there are no other markings on the dial of the 03Series Passion Fruit chronograph watch. The watch is powered by the manually-wound Sellita SW510 calibre.
What’s striking about these two timepieces is that despite the makers’ diversity, they’re designed to stand together, undeniably connected via the brands’ combined passion for watchmaking—and the passion fruit-inspired hues on the dial, of course.
