ReviewThe Bell & Ross Carbon Orange Limited Edition

A watch used and approved by professionals working in extreme conditions

May We Recommend

When a group of aeronautical engineers specializing in control panels joined forces with an expert team of watch designers, they had one goal in mind – to craft timepieces suited for specialists, ones that would become an intrinsic part of the rich Swiss watchmaking heritage while meeting the vocational demands of men faced with extreme environments. By and by, Bell & Ross expanded this project to collaborate with pilots, astronauts, divers and bomb disposal experts, the very professionals who face the extreme conditions that we mentioned.

Their fundamental understanding of exceptional temperatures, violent accelerations and dangerous pressures, helped the team at Bell & Ross to create watches which would be able to not just withstand such anomalies, but also act as constant allies to these daring veterans.

The iconic Bell & Ross design

Think Bell & Ross and you immediately envision the iconic exterior. It is rather evident that legibility inside a cockpit would be of vital importance. Finding the right switch at the right time within a cluttered set of panels is key while flying a giant machine. The colours therefore become important differentiators while lending precise legibility and clarity to the pilots. Going by this, two core colours are typically incorporated in cockpits – matte black for its anti-reflective properties and white for its extreme legibility. Orange – reserved for essential information, also has an indispensable presence.

The case of the limited edition orange carbon is a familiar, square shape that has prominent industrial corner screws, along with a rough-hewn crown. But what gives this timepiece a personality is its orange color. The BR03 -92 comes with a vibrant orange canvas strap, which includes a two-ply construction for additional sturdiness. Past the dominant strap, the watch has a more versatile 42mm black PVD coated steel case, engineered keeping the most extreme conditions in mind.

A Limited Edition timepiece

Limited to 500 pieces around the world & to 1 piece in India, each Bell and Ross Carbon Orange is individually numbered to ensure that every one is inimitable. The dial has a special icon in orange denoting that the watch is a limited edition one.

The Bell and Ross Orange Carbon Kit: A high quality leather watch box, military grade rubber and nylon straps, watch guide, warranty and tools to change the watch straps at home, complete the kit of the Bell and Ross Carbon Orange.

Built to withstand

To build watches that serve as comrades to professionals in extreme occupations across the air, land and sea, the team at Bell & Ross has to be a striking combination of experts including professional users, designers, engineers and master watchmakers. The coming together of such functional experience and expertise puts Bell & Ross timepieces at the forefront of technological innovation. Every watch is an instrument with a purpose – built to withstand, and not merely an accessory that is sported.

Like all watches from the brand, the carbon orange too meets four basic principles: absolute legibility in extreme circumstances, faultless functionality, great water resistance and ultimate precision. The watch thus becomes an instrument that will meet all your demands of reliability.

The Interchangeable Strap

The heart of the watch

A mechanical automatic movement drives the core of the Bell & Ross Carbon Orange. Strict quality controls, precise testing and attention to every step of the creation process ensures that the movement is exceptionally accurate and provides optimal reliability.

Cross section of the watch: The watch is based on the four principles of functionality, legibility, water resistance and durability.
