Longines DolceVita12:58 pm
Dolce Vita is an Italian phrase referring to a life of luxury, self-indulgence and heedless pleasure. The word literally translates to “sweet life”. The phrase is so popular and so meaningful that it has inspired an Italian film, an architectural marvel in Dubai, a music album in Ukraine, several songs by artists across the globe and television series in Hong Kong, South Korea and Greece. It is also the inspiration for a perfume by French fashion designer Christian Dior and has also inspired a couple of literary works. Dolce Vita stands for the ideal, luxurious lifestyle that can be called perfect.

Complementing this beautiful lifestyle while at the same time being inspired by it, the Longines DolceVita is a beautiful timepiece; the perfect accessory for the ideal life. The DolceVita collection from Longines has been exclusively designed for women and is a part of their Elegance range. In the television commercial for the collection, the three brand ambassadors of Longines, namely Kate Winslet, Aishwarya Rai and Chi Ling Lin are seen enjoying the laid-back life in the beautiful Italian city of Rome and living la dolce vita. The Longines DolceVita timepieces on their wrists add to the luxurious nature of their lifestyle.
The DolceVita is wonderfully designed with a dual tone of stainless steel and 18 carat rose gold. The elegant case is rectangular in shape with a length of 25 mm and a width of 20 mm. The bezel is adorned with 32 Top Wesselton VVS diamonds which add to the opulence of the timepiece. Top Wesselton VVS refers to the particular shade of the diamonds that have been used. One of the most interesting features of the watch is the white flinque dial. Flinque is a technique of engraving which involves intersecting concentric lines that are coated with a layer of enamel. This adds a rather distinguishing touch to the elegant timepiece.
The dial features blue coloured hour and minute hands pointing to roman numeral hour markers of the same colour. A small seconds sub-dial is located at 6 o’clock, which features a blue coloured hand and Arabic numerals. The blue colour complements the shade of the diamonds and actually goes well with the rose gold tone as well. The winged hourglass logo of the brand is located just below the 12 o’clock position. It is the oldest logo of its kind that is still being used in its original form and is registered with the World Intellectual Property Organisation.
The watch is equipped with a dual-tone bracelet of stainless steel and rose gold which complements the case design and gives an elegant look to the timepiece. The dial is protected by a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The timepiece is powered by a highly precise quartz movement, which ensures complete reliability in timekeeping. The watch has a water resistance of 30 metres.
With a stunning design that truly represents luxury, the DolceVita is an extremely popular watch loved by women all around the world. The Longines DolceVita perfectly captures the essence of the laid-back Italian way of life and is a beautiful timepiece designed for pure indulgence.
