An Interview with Pranav Saboo on Bloomberg TV5:17 am
With the advent of globalisation, the Indian audience is finally getting to explore the world of Swiss watchmaking extensively. Talking about what India is aspiring for when it comes to luxury timepieces; Bloomberg TV interviewed Pranav Saboo, Business Head-Ethoswatches.com to get a better insight on the watch market in India. These exquisite and timeless pieces of art have a special place in the heart of the Indian watch-lovers and as time passes, this market is only increasing.
When asked about the growing trends, Pranav Saboo mentioned that the audience below 40 years of age is more likely to experiment with the colour, materials and sizes of watches. The audience above 40 years of age on the other hand prefer classic luxury watches. Out of the famous luxury watch brands, the Rolex Submariner topped the sporty luxury wear list. Designed for divers in the early 1950’s the Rolex Submariner is one of the most iconic watches ever created.
The Rolex GMT watch also hit spotlight because of its large dial and exceptional functions.
The Rolex Yatchmaster is another one of India’s favourite. It has a programmable chronograph and countdown timer which lends it higher precision. Other brands that have hit the A-list are Patek Philippe, A.Lange & Sohne, Vacheron Constantin and so on.
The classics and vintage designs have made a come back and wooed the Indian market. Luxury watches have a growing audience and the international brands are excited about the growing potential among the Indian buyers.
