Minimalistic Aesthetic: Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture
For over 35 years, Frederique Constant have mastered the art of blending classical elegance with modern sophistication. Each watch in the Classics collection boasts clean lines, no-frills design aesthetic, durability with a glint of metal. At the heart of Frederique Constant’s approach is the belief that a watch must reflect both technical precision and aesthetic harmony. This philosophy is evident in the Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture, a new addition that embodies Swiss Made craftsmanship at an accessible price point.
The three new editions of Frederique Constant watches have a fresh design and updated technical features. These watches have a 40mm stainless steel case and come in three different dial colours: silver, blue, or green. Each iteration offers a different personality: a bright silver-grey, a modern midnight blue, and a bold English green. The dial also has a railway-style minute track and a window at six o’clock that shows two complications: the moonphase and the date. These complications are related, with the moon moving through its phases every 29.5 days. The date is indicated via a hand pointing to a scale from 1 to 31 around the dial edge, creating a poetic connection between the short cycle of the date and the longer cycle of the moon.
In Focus, Bold English Green
The third and final edition in a rich green colour is synonymous with elegance in the brand’s Highlife and Classic collections like the Wordtimer and Moonphase edition. The deep green sunray-finished dial shimmers beautifully, accentuated by polished silver-tone indices and hands. Enhancing the look, the watch is paired with a matching shiny green leather strap that adds a vintage touch. As with the other two versions, this green variant features a refined sunray dial with three silver-coloured hands (hour and minute hands are diamond-cut), as well as applied hour markers, showcasing the brand’s expertise in watchmaking.

In addition to the distinctive onion-shaped crown, the case of the watch contains the new FC-716 Manufacture Calibre movement. This upgraded movement features a new barrel that provides a power reserve of 72 hours. The movement is adorned with fan-shaped Côtes de Genève decorations, replacing the previous circular motifs. These intricate details can be admired through the open caseback, which is water-resistant up to 50 meters.
The 2024 Frederique Constant Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture comes with navy blue alligator leather straps with tone-on-tone stitching, adding to its sophisticated appeal.
