This year at Baselworld, Favre-Leuba is reinforcing their unique retro-futuristic design philosophy by celebrating their iconic timepieces and modernising the Raider Sea King, in particular. The Sea King timepieces have undergone several major transformations since the brand presented its first Sea King model in 1956.

Reminiscent of the designs of the 1970s, the new Raider Sea King has a 41mm stainless-steel case but with a distinctive fluted bezel, in addition to the signature tetradecagonal bezel. Large rectangular hour markers and a date window at three o’clock adorn the dial with applied indexes and luminescent hands. Powered by an automatic or quartz movement, it offers water resistance up to 100m. This timepiece has choices galore for people who like to explore, as the dial is available in three colours (midnight black, oceanic blue and slate grey). Joining the league of timepieces designed for deep-sea divers is Favre-Leuba’s Bathy 120 MemoDepth. The year 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the Bathy, making the MemoDepth extremely special. First things first, this bold timepiece is water resistant up to 200m and offers readability even on ambitious dives to depths where there is minimal light. Featuring a 48mm titanium case and unidirectional rotating bezel, this black dial watch has a long list of exciting features: 65-hour power reserve and a power-reserve indicator at 12 o’clock, depth gauge subdial and date display. Powered by the FL321 hand-wound movement, it is based on the EMC 3903M calibre, which has been re-engineered by Favre-Leuba.
