The Edox Hydro-Sub Chronometer Label Noir Edition: Dial And Case

One of the distinguishing features of this limited edition timepiece is its black, textured dial, achieved through a meticulous process of natural oxidation. According to the brand, it took six weeks to develop a rare patina on the dial—a green or brown film on the surface of bronze or similar metal—accomplished through an interplay of air and metal. The resulting oxidised dial was further sealed with a protective lacquer finish and deep black coating. The watch also showcases luminescent hands and indices for greater legibility, with a date aperture at three o’clock.

Surrounding the dial is a 42mm stainless-steel case with a black PVD coating, covered with a dual anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The timepiece also features a screw-down crown with double O’ring, offering an impressive water resistance of 300m. Additionally, the rotating ceramic bezel with clear indicators enhances the even and uniform look of the watch.

The COSC-Certified Movement

Powering this limited timepiece is the COSC certified automatic Edox 806 calibre, which is based on the Sellita SW200 movement. Beating at a frequency of 28,800vph, it provides the watch with a respectable power reserve of 38 hours.

Presented on a black metal bracelet, this exclusive Label Noir Edition is currently available only on preorder, with the delivery starting from February 2025.
